A Nigerian soldier, Sammy Makx Pius has narrated how he and some of his colleagues survived Boko Haram’s attack on Christmas Eve.
Pius in a Facebook post wrote that the soldiers’ camp was overran and burnt down by the insurgents as some of the soldiers had to run to the forest to save their lives. This is the soldier’s own account.
The Nigerian Army had confirmed that 13 soldiers and 1 Police Officer were killed by suspected Boko Haram insurgents along Damaturu-Maiduguri Highway in YobeState.
