President Muhammadu Buhari has withheld the assent to the 2018 Electoral Amendment Bill.
Buhari, in a letter sent to the Speaker of the House of Representatrives, Yakubu Dogara said its passage could create uncertainty about the applicable legislation to use for the 2019 general elections.
Meanwhile, the Coalition of United Political Parties (CUPP) has frowned at the President’s decision to withhold assent to the electoral amendment bill saying it was an invitation to electoral anarchy.
