The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ogun State has suffered a setback as 26 of its members in the House of Assembly have dumped the party to join the Allied Peoples Movement (APM).
Earlier, the anointed candidate of the incumbent Governor Ibikunle Amosun, Adekunle Akinlade had defected to the APM having lost the APC ticket to Dapo Abiodun.
While addressing newsmen, spokesperson of the decampees, Lamidi Olatunji said the aggrieved lawmakers, after due consultations decided to actualise their ambitions in ADM.
He however said despite leaving the APC, they still hold absolute loyalty to the re-election bid of President Muhammadu Buhari.
