Former Head of State, General Abdulsalami Abubakar has advised Nigerians to desist from merely criticizing government failures but use the power of their votes to kick out bad leaders.
The former Head of State who spoke at the National Institute for Policy and Strategic Studies, Kuru, during the 2018 Distinguished Annual Lecture for also condemned the registration of 91 political parties by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) saying the decision was an “unwholesome development’’ as it will not help Nigeria’s democracy.
He also decried the practice of vote-buying by politicians, insisting that it must be discouraged by all means.
