The Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA) has allocated N3.62 billion as statutory allocation for May, disbursed to the six Area Councils, teachers, and pension schemes, according to the News Agency of Nigeria.
Minister of State for FCT, Dr. Mariya Mahmoud, disclosed this during the 190th FCT Joint Account Allocation Committee meeting held in Abuja. She noted that out of the total allocation, N1.14 billion was designated for the six area councils, with Bwari Area Council receiving N153 million, Abaji N119 million, and Kwali N167 million.
Mahmoud further outlined that N2.49 billion was allocated for teachers and pension schemes. This included N2.12 billion for primary school teachers and N36.25 million allocated as a one-percent Training Fund.
Additionally, N226.48 million was earmarked as 15 percent Pension Funds, while N107.85 million was set aside as a 10 percent employer pension contribution.
