NCS hands over military drones, $1.25m fake bills to Army, EFCC

The Murtala Mohammed International Airport MMIA Command of the Nigeria Customs Service, NCS has handed over 148 units of military drones valued at 7.8 million naira and fake $1.25m bills intercepted at the Lagos airport to the Nigerian Army and Economic Financial Crimes Commission EFCC in Lagos.

The Customs Area Controller, Compt. Charles Orbih said the items were seized due to their lack of essential documentation and compliance issues.

He added that the military drones lacked the necessary End User Certificate (EUC) from the Office of the National Security Adviser (NSA) and exceeded the allowed specifications for entry into the country.

The drones, equipped with features like first aid box space, weapon storage, and a flight capacity of over 70 hours, pose a significant security concern, Orbih stated.
