The Lagos State Government has launched an Electronic Physical Planning Permit System, allowing building approvals to be obtained in just 10 minutes.
Dr. Olajide Babatunde, the Special Adviser for Electronic Geographic Information Systems e-GIS and Urban Development, announced the initiative during a ministerial press briefing in Ikeja.
He stated that the system is part of the state government’s efforts to revolutionize the planning approval process, ensuring a seamless and efficient experience for stakeholders.
The e-GIS project, which began in 2016 and gained momentum in 2021 under Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, aims to create a comprehensive digital platform for land administration and geographic information services.
