Premier League clubs have unanimously voted to introduce semi-offside technology, impacting how offside calls are made in the English top division.
The new rule which was voted at a stakeholders meeting will be implemented next season but won’t be ready for the campaign’s start.
A Premier League statement said it would likely come into effect after an international break, between September and November. The technology aims to speed up decision-making with a virtual offside line based on optical player tracking, enhancing the in-stadium and broadcast experience.
