The Borno State Police Command has detained four individuals in connection with an attempt to set fire to the Mafa IDP camp in Mafa Local Government Area.
The suspects are Malum Usman (16), Bulama Bukar (14), Rawa Usman (11), and their alleged sponsor, Babagana Umar (40).
In response to the increasing number of IDP camp fires in the state, the government has promised to apprehend those responsible and bring them to justice.
The state Commissioner for Information and Internal Security, Prof Usman Tar, expressed concern over the matter on Sunday, March 31, accusing certain NGOs of being involved in a grand conspiracy.
