Former Minister of Science and Technology and ex-Abia State Governor, Dr. Ogbonnaya Onu, has passed away after a brief illness.
Dr. Onu, who was 72 years old, was a candidate for the presidential ticket of the All Progressives Congress APC for the 2023 general elections.
He was known for his long service in the Ministry of Science and Technology and his tenure under former President Muhammadu Buhari. The exact cause of his death has not been disclosed at this time.
