The United States government has announced that Deputy Treasury Secretary Adewale “Wally” Adeyemo will visit Nigeria next week as part of efforts to strengthen economic relations in Africa.
This visit aligns with Nigeria’s President, Bola Tinubu’s commitment to economic reform and revitalization. The visit also follows President Biden’s pledge to deepen U.S. engagement with Africa through a $50 billion investment over the next three years.
Wally Adeyemo, originally from Ibadan, a key figure in the Biden administration, will embark on his first visit to Nigeria since assuming his position. During his visit, he plans to engage with government officials and representatives from various sectors, including technology, entertainment, and finance.
