Adebola Akin-Bright, the 12-year-old boy whose small intestine reportedly went missing following surgery in a Lagos hospital, is dead.
His death was confirmed by the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital [LASUTH] on the institution’s official X account on Wednesday.
Akin-Bright died Tuesday evening, hours after the speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly, Mudashiru Obasa, and some members visited him at the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital, Ikeja where he was receiving treatment.
LASUTH stated that arrangements for the transfer of Akin-Bright to Great Ormond Street Hospital in the UK were at an advanced stage before his demise.
