According to reports, the Plateau state House of Assembly has suspended all the chairmen in the 17 Local Government Areas of the state due to allegations of financial misconduct.
The suspension was announced by the Speaker, Abok Ayuba, after a motion was passed by a lawmaker representing Langtang North-North constituency, Pirfa Tyem.
The suspended officials are required to hand over all government properties in their possession to the Director of Personnel Management, while an investigation into the allegations against them is conducted.
