According to reports, Colonel Charles Okello Engola, Uganda’s Minister of State for Labour, Employment and Industrial Relations, was killed on Tuesday by one of his military bodyguards while he was getting into his car to go to work.
The police in Uganda provided initial details about the murder of the minister, stating that the victim was shot dead in the Kyanja neighborhood of Kampala at 8:00 am.
According to the police spokesperson, a bodyguard of the minister shot and fired multiple shots at close range. The shooter then fled and entered a salon where he shot himself.
The spokesperson for the police stated that the investigations were just beginning.
