Police in Anambra State on Thursday said seven persons were murdered while two are still missing in Tuesday’s attack on United States embassy officials in Anambra State.
Two individuals have been arrested in connection with the attack on the US Consulate officials and their police escorts in Anambra State.
The Commissioner of Police for the state, Echeng Echeng, confirmed the arrests during a press conference.
He stated that the suspects were apprehended following a joint operation by police tactical teams, the Nigerian Army, and the Nigerian Navy, who raided a camp believed to be the hideout of the attackers.
The assailants are believed to be members of the Eastern Security Network and Indigenous People of Biafra.
