Femi Adesina, the Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, has shared that it is not within the purview of the government to provide employment opportunities for its populace.
During the Tuesday morning appearance on Arise News Television, Adesina expounded on the impressive accomplishments of President Muhammadu Buhari over the course of the past eight years.
Adesida observed that the government’s primary role is to establish a conducive atmosphere for job creation, while the private sector is the driving force behind job creation.
When asked about President Buhari’s promise to create 3 million jobs annually in 2015, Adesina clarified that the President did not specify a specific number of jobs. Rather, he presented the percentage of joblessness in the country. It is possible that the figure of 3 million jobs came from a different source.
