President Muhammadu Buhari has finalized arrangements to award President-elect Bola Tinubu the Grand Commander of the Order of the Federal Republic (GCFR), which is the highest national honor in the country.
The second highest national honour, the Grand Commander of the Order of the Niger (GCON), will also be bestowed upon Vice President-elect Kashim Shettima by him.
The national honours will be conferred on the duo in Abuja, the nation’s capital, on Thursday, May 25, 2023.
Boss Mustapha, who is both the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF) and the Chairman of the Presidential Transition Council, announced during a World Press Conference the schedule of activities for the upcoming 2023 presidential inauguration.
Boss Mustapha stated that the Transition Documents will be officially handed over to Tinubu’s incoming administration on the same day.
