On Tuesday, Osibanjo Oluwaseun, a driver of a Lagos State Bus Rapid Transit, was arraigned before an Ikeja High Court for allegedly colliding with a moving train at Ikeja and causing the death of six people.
The state government has preferred 16 counts of involuntary manslaughter and previous harm against the defendant, who was arraigned before Justice Oyindamola Ogala.
According to Babajide Martins, the Director of Public Prosecutions, the victims were negligently killed by the BRT driver who ignored warning signals and collided with a train approaching from the opposite direction.
