President Muhammadu Buhari has called for stricter policing of the borders to help check the influx of arms and terrorism.
He noted that the porous nature of borders has encouraged the escalation of terrorism, economic sabotage, and illicit flow of arms.
The President spoke while hosting the Secretary General of the World Customs Organisation (WCO), Dr Kunio Mikuriya, who is in Nigeria for the Global Conference on Fragile Borders.
The President also reiterated his commitment to a free and fair general election this month.
