The House of Representatives, on Tuesday, at plenary, resolved to meet with the Chief Executive Officers of commercial banks on Wednesday.
The house made the decision following reports of shortage of the new Naira notes in circulation.
The meeting will aim at ascertaining the true position of things on the availability of the new Naira notes, which the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), said were available.
On the other hand, the Nigerian Senate, has urged the CBN to extend the mop-up of old Naira notes to 31st July 2023.
The upper legislative Chamber through an adopted resolution arrived at the new deadline after a thorough debate.
