The Department of State Services (DSS), says the outcome of the investigations it carried out on the bandits’ negotiator, Tukur Mamu, is ‘mindboggling’.
Reacting to Sheikh Gumi, a Kaduna-based Islamic cleric, accusations, DSS warned those making comments it described as ‘’unguarded’’ to stop forthwith and await court proceedings.
In a statement last night, DSS spokesman, Peter Afunanya, said the Service should be left alone to carry out its duty.
Afunanya said the DSS would not make further comments on Mamu’s arrest since the court will determine its course.
Recalling, Mamu who is a Kaduna-based publisher, was arrested on Tuesday by security operatives in Cairo, Egypt, for his alleged involvement in collecting ransom for the release of several abducted passengers of the Abuja-Kaduna train attack.
