The newly-elected President of the National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS), Farouk Lawal, on Thursday, threatened to occupy the Federal Ministry of Education over the lingering strike by the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU).
Giving the Federal Government an ultimatum, Lawal noted that the student body would also develop a framework to ensure lasting peace in Nigerian tertiary institutions.
Also speaking, the Senate President of NANS, Adediwura Adeshina, said the association will meet with student leaders across the country to ensure that arrangements are made concerning the planned protest.
