The Independent National Electoral Commission in Osun State, says it will conduct a mock accreditation to ascertain its level of preparedness for the July 16 gubernatorial election.
The INEC Public Affairs Officer in the state, Oluwaseun Osimosu, who made this known, in a statement, on Sunday, noted that the exercise would hold on Monday and Tuesday, in selected polling units in the three senatorial districts in the state.
The statement read in part, “This is to inform the general public that INEC in preparation for a hitch-free July 16 Governorship Election in Osun State will be conducting Mock Accreditation on Monday July 4 and 5, 2022 in six Local Government Areas of the State, two Registration Areas/Wards across the three senatorial districts.”
Mr Osimosu, also confirmed the INEC Chairman’s arrival in Osun, stating that the INEC boss, Prof. Mahmood Yakubu, came to kickstart series of engagement and evaluate level of preparation of the Commission for the governorship poll.
