The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), has released the former Governor of Anambra State, Willie Obiano, on bail.
Obiano was released on Wednesday evening after spending almost a week in the custody of the anti graft agency.
His passport was withheld as part of the bail conditions.
Recall that the former Governor was arrested last Thursday at the Murtala Muhammad International Airport, Lagos State, as he was preparing to board a flight to Houston, the United States.
Obiano, who had been on the EFCC’s watchlist for some time, was arrested over corruption allegations.
