The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has arrested the immediate past Governor of Anambra State, Willie Obiano, at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport (MMIA), Lagos State.
Obiano was reportedly arrested around 8.30pm on Thursday.
It was gathered that the former Anambra Governor was on his way to Houston, Texas in the United States when he was accosted by operatives of anti-graft agency.
His arrest came hours after he handed over to Prof Charles Chukwuma Soludo.
Obiano’s arrest was confirmed by EFCC spokesman, Wilson Uwujaren.
