Angry youths burnt down Noble Kids Academy in Kawaji, Nasarawa Local Government Area of Kano State, on Monday.
A five-year-old child, Hanifa Abubakar, who was kidnapped and killed by the proprietor of Noble Kids Academy, was a student of the school.
Hanifa was kidnapped in December last year and killed shortly after, even though her abductor had demanded a N6million ransom.
It was gathered that while trying to get part of the ransom, that the proprietor of the school, Abdulmalik Tanko, was arrested by security forces.
Tanko later confessed to killing 5-year-old with rat poison.
For days, there has been widespread outrage over the incident, with #JusticeForHanifa trending on social media.
The Kano government had shut down the school indefinitely and directed parents to enroll their children in other schools.
But in the early hours of Monday, aggrieved youths stormed the school premises and set it on fire.
