Gunmen stormed the Plateau State Polytechnic in Barkin Ladi on Wednesday night and kidnapped 2 students.
Sources said the three gunmen stormed the hostel known as ‘Plateau Embassy’ towards the end of the School fence and whisked away two girls identified as Bencit and Longfei, after shooting sporadically in the air.
The Police and Special Task Force (STF) code-named Operation Safe Haven reportedly rushed to the scene and one suspect was arrested.
The Spokesperson of the Plateau State Police, Gabriel Ubah, confirmed the incident and the arrest of one of the suspects.
