Armed men suspected to be bandits attacked Pinau town in Wase Local Government Area of Plateau State on Sunday evening, killing no fewer than 10 people.
Several other persons were said to have sustained various degrees of injuries in the attack.
It was gathered that the incident happened after the villagers finished from their weekly community market.
A member of the community identified as Hamman Sale, who confirmed the development, said the suspected bandits were from Zamfara State.
The spokesperson of the Plateau State Police Command, Gabriel Ubah, also confirmed the incident, adding that the Command was yet to get full details on the attack.
