Unknown gunmen on Tuesday have reportedly kidnapped the mother of the Chief of staff to the Kogi State Governor, Jamiu Asuku.
The victim, Seriya Raji was abducted from her residence on Monday evening at Inese/Ovakere New Layout in Nagazi community.
A resident of the community said that the gunmen arrived Seriya Raji’s residence at about 7:40 pm shortly after she observed the evening prayer at a mosque within the premises.
The source added that the entered the victim’s house through the mosque and whisked her away to an unknown destination, using the car they brought for the operation.
However, the kidppers are yet to make any contact with the family of their victim.
The Kogi state police command authorities in the state said a rescue mission has already begun.
