The Speaker of the Plateau State House of Assembly, Honorable Abok Ayuba Nuhu, has been impeached.
Nuhu was immediately replaced with Rt. Hon. Sanda Yakubu, representing Pengana constituency of Bassa Local Government Area of the state.
The speaker was impeached during plenary on Thursday morning following a vote of no confidence moved against him by 16 out of the 24 members of the assembly.
