President Muhammadu Buhari received FIFA President, Mr. Gianni Infantino, and the President of the Confederation of African Football (CAF), Dr Patrice Motsepe, at the Presidential Villa on Thursday.
The duo paid a courtesy visit to the Nigerian president and presented him with a number 10 jersey and a football.
Also at the villa were the Sports Minister, Sunday Dare, and the President of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), Amaju Pinnick.
The FIFA and CAF chiefs first attended the start of the Aisha Buhari Cup on Wednesday in Lagos State.
According to a statement by CAF, Motsepe will also be meeting with different stakeholders in Nigeria to discuss the advancement of football in Africa, in particular women’s football development.
Also in attendance was Ghana FA President Kurt Okraku and Mali FA President Mamoutou Toure.
