The Islamic State of West Africa Province (ISWAP) terrorists have launched a massive attack in Rann community in Kala Balge Local Government Area of Borno State.
Sources say the attack forced many residents of the town to flee to Cameroon, which shares border with the community.
The heavily armed fighters launched the attack in the early hours of Monday, where the reportedly set many houses on fire and engaged troops in a fierce gun battle.
However, it was gathered that the insurgents allowed civilians to leave the town unharmed.
