A High Court sitting in Awka, Anambra State, has reinstated Professor Chukwuma Soludo, as the candidate of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) for the Anambra State Governorship election scheduled for November 2021.
Justice Charles Okay of Awka High Court 2 gave the reinstatement order on Monday.
Ruling Okay said the other parties is in the suit, comprising Jude Okeke, Edozie Njoku and Chukwuma Umeoji, were “meddlesome interlopers”.
Recall that last Friday, the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) published the list of cleared candidates for the November 6 Governorship Election and Soludo’s name was excluded.
According to INEC, the reason for the exclusion was due to court order. Soludo, who is the former governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), emerged winner of the APGA faction loyal to the state Governor, Willie Obiano.
