Buhari appoints Ibrahim Wushishi as new registrar for NECO

President Muhammadu Buhari has appointed Professor Ibrahim Dantani Wushishi as the substantive Registrar and Chief Executive Officer of the National Examination Council (NECO).

A statement, signed by NECO’s Head of Public Relations and Information, Azeez Sani, released on Monday in Niger State, confirmed the appointment of the new Registrar.

Wushishi replaces Professor Godswill Ibioma, who died in May.

The new Registrar is the first indigene of Niger State appointed to head the council.

The letter, with reference number FME/PSE/NECO/1078/C.1/36, dated July 16, 2021, said the appointment is for an initial period of five years effective 12th July 2021.

Wushishi was born on 5th April, 1965 and was a lecturer in the Faculty of Education, Usmanu Danfodio University, Sokoto, before he transferred his service to Federal University of Technology, Minna.
