Northern Group declares IPOB’s Nnamdi Kanu wanted, pledges N100 million for his arrest

A group called Northern Consensus Movement (NCM) has declared the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu, wanted for alleged killings and destruction of properties of northerners residing in the South Eastern part of Nigeria.

The President of the group, Comrade Awwal Abdullahi Aliyu, made the declaration at a press briefing in Abuja on Thursday.

Aliyu said “Nnamdi Kanu, the leader of IPOB, is the man and brain behind the killings and destruction of properties belonging to innocent northerners residing in the south eastern Nigeria, carrying out their legitimate businesses using his proscribed terrorist organization, IPOB and Eastern Security Network (ESN).”

On this note, the group placed a bounty of N100 million “as an offer to anyone who produces Nnamdi Kanu alive, hale and hearty and hands him over to NCM for onward delivery to security agencies for prosecution.”

The NCM also called on the Federal and State Governments to compensate victims and families of Northerners in the Southeast and Southwest, who lost their lives and properties during the #EndSARS protest last year; and the Akinyele Sasha Market violence in Oyo State, as well as “IPOB’s violence/terrorism activities”.
