Operatives of the Nigeria Police Force have thwarted a June 12 protest in the Gudu area of the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja.
The policemen reportedly stormed the area on Saturday morning and started firing teargas canisters at the peaceful protesters.
The protest was said to have started around 8:30 am and had been going peacefully until the security operatives arrived.
The protest was organized by youths to express their dissatisfaction over the spate of insecurity and current state of the nation.
