President Muhammadu Buhari has written the Senate, seeking the consideration and approval of the N895billion Supplementary Budget.
Buhari’s letter of request was read by the Senate President, Ahmad Lawan, during plenary on Tuesday.
The N895 billion was earlier approved by the Federal Executive Council (FEC).
A significant part of the fund has been allocated for procurement of military hardware to fight the war against insurgency and banditry.
The Federal Government is also expected to use part of the fund to acquire COVID-19 vaccines and other health related needs.
