There was jubilation on Wednesday over the reappearance of the Spiritual director of Adoration Ministry, Enugu Nigeria (AMEN), Rev Father Ejike Mbaka, after reportedly missing since Tuesday.
The Ohanaeze Ndigbo Youth Council Worldwide (OYC) had earlier raised an alarm over the whereabouts of Mbaka.
According to a statement issued on Wednesday by the President-General of Ohanaeze Youth Council, Mazi Okwu Nnabuike, Mbaka was last seen on Tuesday, and every effort to reach him had failed.
There were reports that following the apprehension, all the youths of the ministry had been summoned to the Adoration ground for a planned protest.
The protesting youths had alleged that the Catholic cleric had been picked up by security operatives or gunmen over his recent call on President Muhammadu Buhari to resign or be impeached.
The Department of State Services (DSS) had also released a statement on Wednesday, saying Mbaka was not in its custody.
But in a live video update later on Wednesday afternoon by BBC Pidgin, Mbaka was seen in an open roof car waving to protesters who surrounded him alongside operatives of the Nigeria Police Force.
