Unidentified gunmen have burnt down the Bende Police Station in Bende LGA of Abia State.
This incident occurred barely six hours after the State Governor, Okezie Ikpeazu, left Bende LGA headquarters after a civic reception of a three-time (12 years) immediate past House of Representatives member who represented Bende Federal Constituency, Hon. Nnenna Ukeje.
Residents, who spoke to newsmen, said, “We heard series of gunshots, and when we rushed outside, we saw the station on fire.”
This recent attack also happened just a few hours after the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) office at Amaekpu, Ohafia LGA of the state was razed by unknown hoodlums.
