Kidnappers of three construction workers rehabilitating the lkaramu/Akunnu Akoko highway in Akoko North West council area in Ondo State have demanded N20m ransom for their release.
It was reported that the gunmen stormed the site at about 6 pm on Tuesday and whisked three of the workers away.
The incident caused a lot of tension and anxiety in Akoko area.
However, police operatives and other security personnel have been combing the bush in search of the victims since their abduction.
Bolaji Salami, the Ondo State Commissioner of Police, said more personnel have been deployed to the Akoko axis to help secure the release of the workers.
