A Former Minister of Commerce and Industry, Mahmud Tukur, is dead.
It was reported he died Friday in Abuja.
Tukur was also the first vice-chancellor of Bayero University, Kano.
He served as minister during the military government of Muhammadu Buhari and is believed to have remained close to Buhari, Nigeria’s current democratic president.
