Bandits have broken into the military base in Zagzaga, Munya Local Government Area of Niger State, just about three weeks after armed bandits forced men of the Tactical Task Force out of their camps in Bassa and Allawa in Shiroro Local Government Area of the state.
The latest attack by the AK-47 wielding bandits occurred at about 4am on Wednesday.
Reports say during the operation, a primary school which the soldiers had been using as their shelter was set ablaze.
One of the operational vehicles of the security operatives was also razed while another military truck was carted away by the armed men.
The stolen truck was allegedly used by the bandits to evacuate both the injured and dead among them.
