Sunday Igboho’s mother’s house attacked by suspected Fulani herders

Three suspected Fulani herdsmen on Sunday attacked the residence of the mother of Yoruba activist, Sunday Adeyemo aka Igboho.

It was gathered that two of the alleged herdsmen escaped while one was arrested by the police.

Sunday Igboho’s spokesman, Olayomi Koiki, said one of the herders confessed to receiving information that Sunday Igboho was to visit his mother’s residence situated at Igboho on the day of the incident, hence the attack.

Koiki said, “This evening around 7:54 pm, three Fulani men attacked the house of our mother, that is the mother of Chief Sunday Adeyemo aka Igboho. Two of the attackers were able to escape but we were able to pick one of them.

“When interrogated, he said they were informed that Chief Igboho would be coming to see his mother. We have taken the man to Igboho Police Station for further interrogation.”

Recall that a few days ago, three men dressed in military camouflage were arrested on a motorcycle while allegedly spying on Sunday Igboho’s residence at Soka area of Ibadan.
