Okorocha’s Son in-law asks Uzodinma to caution aides

Uche Nwosu, the 2019 governorship candidate of the Action Alliance in Imo State, has told the governor of the state, Hope Uzodinma, to caution his aides from attacking his benefactor, Senator Rochas Okorocha, in order to avoid the rift between him and Okorocha from escalating.

He said this in Abuja on Wednesday.

Nwosu has asked the APC management to settle the rift between the two leaders as it is not good for the party, stating that the confrontation between the two is unnecessary.

He also asked the governor to seek peace, dialogue, and settle every grievance to ensure that the state is not thrown into crisis.

Nwosu, who is also a son-in-law to Okorocha, further speaking on the quest for an Igbo presidency, admonished Igbo leaders to choose wisely against 2023 elections, a presidential candidate that is capable and worthy and not one that would be seen as an Igbo candidate.

He expressed optimism that the Southern political leaders would settle whatever their issues are, and come together to be able to achieve the Igbo agenda at the right time.

He further said that discord and realignment are not peculiar to just Igbo politicians.

Nwosu frowned at the idea of having a consensus candidate from the Southeast zone, saying this would be tantamount to muzzling the wishes of the people which would be undemocratic.

Furthermore, he mentioned that it was too soon for President Muhammadu Buhari to publicly acknowledge the particular zone he is supporting, expressing optimism that he would back the Igbo project at a suitable time.
