Operatives of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), Ondo State Command, arrested a commercial driver with two human heads on Monday.
The suspect, identified as Hassan Saka, was arrested with the two human heads concealed in a brown carton.
Confirming the incident, the NDLEA Commander in the state, Haruna Gagara, said “Saka was arrested by men of the command who were on stop and search duty along the Akure-Owo Expressway.”
However, the suspect who denied ownership of the carton containing the human heads, claimed an unidentified person gave him the carton in Lokoja, Kogi State, to deliver to someone in Akure, Ondo State.
“I was only given the telephone number of the person I was supposed to give the carton to,” Hassan said.
Meanwhile, the state Police Public Relations Officer, Tee-Leo Ikoro, said the suspect has been handed over to the police and investigations have commenced.
