Samuel Anyawu, a former Imo East Senator has lashed out at President Muhammed Buhari and the All Progressives Congress (APC), saying his leadership style has worsened Nigeria’s situation.
According to Anyanwu, the President and the ruling party are only interested in taking hold of power without a developmental plan for Nigeria and its citizens.
The statement was made in Owerri, the Imo State capital. He said that Nigeria had suffered since the inception of the APC administration in 2015.
He accused Buhari and the party of inflicting untold hardship on Nigerians and unnecessarily wasting the commonwealth of the Nation.
He further lamented over the several challenges confronting the nation, the impact of which only seems to be compounded with each passing day.
He said, “APC and her then-presidential candidate, Muhammadu Buhari had assured Nigerians of their commitment to raise their standard of living, construct good road networks, offer quality education, and improve on agriculture. Today, all their promises were mere deceit to hijack power. Today, Nigerians have been raped, shattered, dehumanized, and abandoned.
Nothing in Nigeria is working again; not even human lives and properties are spared. It is annoying that a country that is blessed with vast natural resources is increasing the pump price of petrol at will. Nothing is stable, prices of goods rising up and never coming down.”
