The National Primary Health Care Development Agency (NPHCDA) has said that some of those who have received jabs of the Oxford-AstraZeneca COVID-19 vaccine in Nigeria reported mild side effects.
The agency made this known on Thursday in a statement titled ‘Press Statement on concerns about the safety of the Oxford/AstraZeneca Vaccine,’ on Twitter, without stating what the side effects are.
But it said Nigeria did not receive any batch of the ABV5300, the AstraZeneca vaccine with suspected side effect.
Among those vaccinated are President Muhammadu Buhari, Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, health workers, members of the presidential task force on Covid-19, governors and other prominent persons.
