2023 Presidency: It Would Be Unfair For The South Not To Produce Nigeria’s Next President – Gov. Masari

Ahead of the 2023 presidential elections, the Governor of Katsina State, Aminu Masari has begun canvassing support for the Southern region to produce Nigeria’s next president.

Masari says it would be unfair for the Southern part of the country not to produce Nigeria’s next president in 2023.

The Governor while speaking on a Channels television programme also noted that the APC has a very bright future because it had impacted Nigerians more than any other political party.

According to Masari:

Of course, by all means, let everybody come with a balance sheet of what they got yesterday and what we get today and compare notes.

“With regards to zoning, fair is fair. If you ask me, I would, as a person, Aminu, I think we should move the presidency to the southern part of the country.

“No government, no political party since the independence in Nigeria has brought about social interventions like the APC government. Billions of naira have been paid to ordinary people.”

Recall that the Katsina state governor is not the only one clamoring for a southerner as Nigeria’s next president. In the past, people like the Governor of Kaduna State, Nasir El-Rufai had equally called for a southern president in 2023.
