A former senator of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Dino Melaye has described “Satanic”, the Federal Executive Council’s decision on the 17th of March 2021, to approve the sum of $1.5billion for the renovation of the Port Harcourt refinery.
Dino Melaye who represented the Kogi West Senatorial District in the 8th Assembly had on Thursday in a video released via his Twitter handle @dino_melaye urged President Muhammadu Buhari to instantly reverse the “wicked decision”.
Dino said:
“It is sad to note that the Federal Government wants to spend 1.5billion dollars to renovate Port Harcourt Refinery. They want to use N720billion to renovate a dead refinery because Port Harcourt Refinery is dead.
Are you using $1.5billion for the embalmment of the dead refinery? Because this money is going to be spent on a dead refinery.
When will this stealing stop in this country? When will this inconsiderate corruption stop in this country?
As an anti-corruption network, as a person of patriotism, we call on President Muhammadu Buhari to immediately reverse this satanic wicked decision. Those who are ready to benefit from this stealing, we are waiting and we are watching.
We have no other country to call our own and we will not keep quiet in the midst of this corruption.”
