Hundreds of commuters in Kano were left stranded on Monday as tricycle operators withdrew their services from major streets across the state metropolis.
This action, according to tricycle operators, is a warning strike to protest against the government’s failure to suspend the collection of N100 daily tax.
According to reports, on Saturday, tricycle riders mobilized members for street protest where they distributed flyers of a planned protest on Monday.
Tricycle is the major means of transportation in the state. This action caused workers and school children to trek to their various destinations as only a few cabs were plying the roads.
